The "Divine Female" that wasn't
Kim Kardashian was the literal high point in modern femininity - much to the chagrin of her rivals and her supporters. It didn't really work out for all three entities involved.
When Ye (Kanye West) married Kim Kardashian, it was a culmination of a kind of romance that the urban world was sort of nonplussed by (due to Kim’s and her mothers reputation in those communities) but hoped it would work out.
In some ways it was Ye’s masculine completion - his hard work, outlandish antics, unapologetic words and so on have got him to this point - a woman he had (and many urban men have had opportunities with) wanted, is now settling down…
The reality became much different.
I have certain observations that brings things into focus.
Kim Kardashian shouldn’t be fully blamed for what she became, but as Ye stated years ago, she is the most consequential model of her generation.
The reason is mostly that she fell into that set up - she wasn’t as popular as her contemporaries and there was a sense that if things went the way they could have gone, it would have been Jael Strass not Kim Kardashian that would have been that model.
Kim Kardashian becomes huge, albeit slowly and then all at once via the video with RJ, her early Instagram posts and the reality show with her sisters.
Because of the way the Instagram social media app grew along side with the Kardashian-Jenner women, they became the look of what women wanted to look like.
Many in the urban communities felt that the Kardashian clan as it were, took most of the ideas from African American women (Buffy the Body, certain transgender models, the paper magazine shoot) which caused a gigantic war which goes on to this day on how beauty is seen in the states.
This however, is all based on certain concepts of how men view women and how women saw themselves - woman felt that the look the Kardashian women put out would be more attractive to get men with these new technologies to be with them.
This starts out a all out aesthetic war as the midlevel and high end fashion and modeling world (this also coincides with the issues with Bulimia and anorexia in trying to stop both disorders, plus the use of porn fetishes such as BBW and the like to promote “sexy/healthy in all sizes”) that took out the “Baywatch look” and brought in more Urban aesthetic.
This brought about the Brazilian Butt Lift cultural ideal - which is also related to a porn fetish (dealing with ethnic men) as an enticer, where as that causes even more consternation with ethnic women and calls of blackfishing and the like.
You can see the results for yourself.
But that’s the thing here, this concept of “Divine Female” - in modern parlance is Kim Kardashian and in certain ways her sisters. Most woman all over the world in the modern era (read - Millennial Generation and early Gen “Z”) have copied if not her body shape, her and her sisters mannerisms, her tone of voice, the way she and her sisters model - even the way she sees men and in turn how they should behave towards them as women.
But that how Kim and her sisters behave. That isnt the way women all over the world should behave or even want to behave. But it happens because most women have a certain connection - and rarely - if ever, break that connection and form a new way of seeing womanhood.
The damage Mrs West has done, not fully her fault of course - is incapable. Because she was one of the rare millennials that was successful in the mid to high tier modeling world as Maxim started to pass and Instagram started to grow, she came at the time when there was a censoring movement as a consequence of President Clinton and Monica Lewinski as George W Bush came into office - just about at the end of the second term.
Because it doesn’t matter where one goes - as a man or even a woman that is out of the dating market place due to mother hood and the like, and it doesnt even matter in terms of hobbies and other such is done. Most young women have followed a version of her up to the point that they mirrored her life and life style, how she made money all the way to the way she sees political issues.
There were some women who did not follow that world view - but because of the biopressure (read this as American Global Osmosis) that Kim and her sisters (and her friends) had - those women who had a different sense of beauty and a different sense of self - even given the same problems all women face in different ways - were snuffed out at the prime of their lives - some through prostitutions, others by suicide and others in much worse ways.
Those women that do survive such pressure - in many ways are not considered women in the modern sense, even though they are through and through.
There is a bit of a fight back however, more muted in scope and more realistic in tone. Realistic not in the sense of the myriad jokes of a “real body in all sizes” and more towards the pre-Kardashian era with some twists here and there. Some of it has been in Japan, with the 8Woman and 8WomanReloaded series - others have been with some aspects of the crossfit movement and subsequent workout revival, not unlike it was in most of the 1980’s.
Nevertheless, it doesnt seem to be enough because Kim’s success has become an eclipse of womanhood in many ways - it became a useless measuring stick that has done untold damage with the help of Instagram and later Facebook/Meta’s algorithms to younger women heading to the prime of their lives. It also brought about a backlash that did even more damage to the first because of allegations of cultural appropriation which then when you look at it honestly, their detractors that do say “all sizes beautiful” takes other cultures and I don’t use the term lightly - whitewashes it using the same tropes that Kim has used all throughout her years within the myriad of exotic “bubbles” that would get men aroused. And each aspect regardless of the disagreements only want a certain type of man - the Pete Davisson/NBA Youngboy type which are two sides of the same coin of how women in modern era see themselves and each other and what they want out of men as a whole.
It becomes apparent when you see Britney Spears call out to the “Divine Female” one day, and get naked on Instagram the next. Its a follow the leader - which in this era has been Kim Kardashian and all of the antics and tropes.
Competition without seeming to be competition.
A dangerous game indeed, made worse by the algorithms of social media from Instagram, tinder and now tik tok.
Its going to end tragically, and it will cause women much consternation as they age.
Maybe this representation of the “Divine Female” as is seen in Kim Kardashian and her sisters (not that she or they are personally, despite their very evil choices they have made through the years) is the embodiment of the empty show of this planet?
Maybe the whole concept - started decades ago about a modern day understanding of a “divine female” is rooted in evil? Rooted in the massive attention most men must give to a deeply illiterate generation of women in United States and other places in the west who have been stripped of all human understanding of joy. This wasnt the case and there are some women out there who havent lost that sense.
But when you go from the woman from “La Samurai” to the woman in Drake’s Recent Cover in the span of 50 some years - questions must be asked.
Maybe the divine female isnt what it was ever cracked up to be.
Maybe women just needed to find a way to be…
Human, instead the Malefic, Demonic, Attention Seeking, Domineering, Domimatrix that is now called.
